Can I see a list of all possible internship placements?
Because of the large numbers of students we are working with, and the number of available placements in any given term, this is just not possible. Even if we posted a list, we cannot guarantee a particular company would take a student during your program dates – or that it would be the right placement for you if available. Therefore, we do not allow such lists to circulate.
What if I am not placed?
agri LIDA has been placing students since 1999 and has never failed to place a student. We DO NOT intend to start with you if the agri LIDA team encounters any trouble with a particular placement request, we may speak to you further and ask you to refine your goals and/or expectations. We will attempt to find your first choice, but there is a possibility that we may need to look elsewhere. This often happens when students do not have the skills or experience necessary for their first choice placement.
Am I guaranteed an internship placement?
While we do our best to assist students interested in pursuing an internship, we cannot guarantee an internship placement. The application process is competitive, and only qualified candidates will ultimately be offered an internship. Internship positions are offered based on individual company requirements, availability, and your suitability for the positions available. What the agri LIDA program does is help make you more “attractive” to a potential employer in a competitive job market. We want you to be successful and will try to help you any way we can!
